How's that again?
  • EVERYONE must complete an adoption application in order to start the process!
  • Our phone number is a New Mexico number, in the Albuquerque area.    (505-934-2202)
  • Be courteous about calling! Don't call us earlier than 9am or later than 6pm.
  • We are not a shelter. We are a group of foster homes all over the Albuquerque metropolitan area. You cannot "come to see" the animals. We bring them to you! It may take a few days to schedule this!
  • We are ALL volunteers.
  • When we say crate-trained, we mean they sleep there overnight! Animals should NEVER be left in crates for long periods of time!

Toby lost his senior parent and came to us in very good shape. He is quiet and well-mannered, housebroken and will sleep in a crate but prefers to share your bed. He snores... He is one of the best little guys we have ever had! He is very special!

Thanks to Kay's grooming, Def is looking handsome after his bath and haircut. Def is a nice young fellow who would love a home where he could get some attention. He is learning to sleep overnight in a crate, has learned how to use a doggie door, and is pretty well housebroken already. He likes to play now that he is feeling comfortable, and likes to romp with the other pups. What a transformation!

Nymphie is a previously owned model that hails from northern NM. He is such a dandy that we can only think he was given up because of the owner's health or financial situation. He is so well-trained and loving. Yes, he is an older guy, but he has lots of life in him and loves to be with his human. He is on heart medication and is doing well. He was probably not treated prior to coming to us.

This darling little girl was owner surrendered at a local shelter. She was lactating from having puppies, but no puppies were turned in with her. Julie LOVES women, and would make a delightful traveling, or stay-at-home companion. She's an excellent watch dog, and at night, sleeps quietly at the foot of the bed. Her legs are very short so she requires help getting on the bed. She also likes to sleep on little dog beds, where she can be with, and see her human. She is housetrained, and will sit by the door to go out.

Sugar Button Sugar Button
Female, adult, Shih Tzu
Sugar Button and her sister were picked up by a shelter 3 times. The last time she was rescued off the street by an animal lover who brought them to the shelter so that the owner could retrieve them. Her sister was adopted when the owner decided to relinquish them. Sugar Button was adopted, too, but returned when the adopters found out that she had bladder problems. She has had her surgery and will need to eat a special diet to prevent bladder stones from occuring again. She is a real doll and is absolutely no trouble at all. Her food will cost no more than a premium dog food, and for that, you will have an absolutely wonderful companion!
