Doc and Miss Kitty were found on the doorstep early one morning this past week. They were both in a dog crate, covered with a plastic painter's tarp. The padding inside was soaked in urine and they were very cold. The photos on our home page show their condition when they were removed from the crate. Doc was very matted; Miss Kitty's coat was slightly better, but both were dirty. Their teeth are in pretty bad condition. We don't really know why they were left there except that the people who left them must have known that they would be taken care of. Grooming services were provided by Tamara's Grooming. They were bathed and clipped and given matching sweaters. These little ones are used to being kenneled. Miss Kitty has likely had several litters of puppies. Doc was probably her mate. Both are scheduled for spay/neuter, dentals, and shots in early January and they will be up for adoption after their surgeries. Doc and Miss Kitty were adopted into a loving home on January 13, 2006! Please help us help other little ones like Doc and Kitty. Your donations are tax deductible and the money replenishes our medical fund to help the animals. Lap Dog Rescue of NM has no paid employees. We don't even use our donated funds for dog food and incidentals. In addition to your thoughts and prayers for the little ones like Doc and Kitty, we truly appreciate your financial support.
