Blondie 4533 is a young, 14-pound female terrier/Maltese mix with a shy, calm, loving personality. She takes a little time to feel comfortable, but once she trusts you, she is an affectionate cuddle companion who follows you around the house.
She enjoys exploring the backyard, rolling in the grass, and playing with toys, especially her stuffed crinkle toy and a bone. She is house-trained and comfortable sleeping in a crate at night.
Blondie came from a hoarding situation and is working on her confidence and socialization. Loud noises and sudden movements frighten her. She needs a patient adopter who will provide reassurance and introduce new experiences slowly.
A quiet home with a fenced yard and no young children would suit her best. Because she occasionally barks, apartment living is not recommended. She has done well with dogs of different sizes after slow introductions and could live with another compatible dog or as the only dog. Compatibility with cats depends on the individual cat and requires careful introduction.
Her foster reports that she is spayed and vaccinated. Adoption fee: $225.
