Dottie & Daisy

Dottie is a 8-month-old, 7-pound female Chihuahua mix. She and her sister, Daisy, came to Lap Dog Rescue after their owner passed away.

Dottie is sweet and friendly, although her cautious personality means she needs a little time to adjust to new people and surroundings. Once she feels safe and comfortable, she becomes friendly and outgoing.

She is crate trained and learning to use the doggie door. Her house training is ongoing, but she has made great improvements. Her new family will need to continue working with her patiently and consistently.

Dottie and Daisy may be adopted separately. They may also be adopted together by a home with the time and energy to continue training both girls. Either arrangement is fine, and Dottie is a sweet young dog ready for a fresh start.

Dottie’s adoption fee is $225.00.

Meet Daisy & Dottie—bonded sisters looking for one forever home! Daisy and Dottie are eight-month-old sisters who share a very special bond. Daisy weighs approximately 12 pounds, and Dottie weighs approximately 10 pounds. They are extremely sweet, loving little girls. Although we originally thought they could be adopted separately, we now feel they truly need each other and are looking for a family ready to welcome them both. These active sisters love to play and need a family prepared for their energy and the commitment of caring for two playful dogs. They can be a little shy when meeting new people, but they warm up quickly and are very affectionate once comfortable. Daisy and Dottie are kennel trained and sleep together in an exercise pen overnight with a potty pad available. They also eat in the pen, but they need to be crated separately at mealtime because Daisy will happily help herself to Dottie’s food! They are doggie-door trained and are doing very well about taking their business outside. We believe these girls are happiest together, so they are available only as a bonded pair. Their bonded-pair adoption fee is $350, reflecting our $100 bonded-pair discount.
